2011 Asian Cup Mascots Unveiled

Barshim Wins Gold In Moncton

News article covering Qatar's Muataz Barshim's gold medal victory in the high jump competition at the 2010 IAAF World Junior Championships in Moncton, Canada.

It was the first ever victory in the high jump competition at this level since the competition’s first edition in 1986.

Barshim went on to make more success in the following years winning a bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics. He is tipped to be one of the greatest high jump stars in history if he continued to improve by the same rate.

2010 UEFA U-19 Championship - Day One Report

In the opening day of the European U-19 Championships in France, the hosts thrashed Netherlands 4-1 to go top of Group A on goal difference from England who defeated Austria 3-2.

In group B four-time champions Spain defeated Croatia 2-1, but Portugal lead the group standings after a 2-0 victory over Italy.  More detaila in this report.
